From 00:01 on Monday 29th June, we will be moving over to Cordic for bookings, dispatch and driver job management.
This is one of the biggest changes we've made as a business and is designed to create more opportunities for drivers, improve customer service and help us grow across Great Dunmow, Braintree, Stansted and beyond.

All drivers must download and use the Cordic Driver App to receive work.

Select SIGN UP, Enter your Phone Number and create a password. We will send you a confirmation code to enter.
Please make sure you are:
- Logged in
- Available when you want work
- Marked as Online
If you're offline, the system may not be able to offer you jobs.
The drivers who stay online consistently will naturally see the greatest benefit from the new system.
Your Existing Pre-Bookings
We know many drivers already have pre-booked work scheduled in the current system.
Don't worry — your existing pre-booked jobs will be added to your Cordic account automatically wherever possible.
We'll be working behind the scenes to transfer bookings and ensure the transition is as smooth as possible.
If there are any bookings that require manual attention, we'll contact you directly.
Our aim is simple:
- No disruption to your work
- A smooth transition to Cordic
- Continued visibility of your future bookings

Existing Cordic Drivers
Some drivers who currently work with Happicabs or other operators may already be familiar with the Cordic Driver App.
If you already use Cordic with another company, you may occasionally need to switch between user accounts or operator profiles within the app to suit your working arrangements.
Don't worry if this is new to you — guidance will be available and we'll help drivers get set up correctly.

Smarter Job Allocation
One of the biggest improvements you'll notice with Cordic is how jobs are allocated.
With our previous system, Cabcher sends the same job to all drivers at once, often creating a race to accept the booking.
Cordic works differently.
Jobs are offered intelligently based on factors such as:
- Distance from the pickup
- Driver availability
- Vehicle type
- Driver status and activity
In most cases, the nearest available driver will be offered the job first.
If the job isn't accepted, it will then be offered to the next most suitable driver, and so on.
This means:
- Less unnecessary driving
- Faster response times for customers
- Fairer job allocation
- A more efficient network overall
Being Online Matters
If you're online and available, we expect you to assist the business by covering the work offered to you wherever reasonably possible.
Not every booking will be:
- An airport transfer
- A long-distance journey
- An executive booking
Some jobs may be:
- Local trips
- School runs
- Station collections
- Pub or restaurant journeys
- Short-distance bookings
These jobs are just as important.
Looking after the local work is what builds our reputation, keeps customers coming back and ultimately brings in the bigger jobs.
Today's £8 local trip could easily become tomorrow's:
- £120 airport transfer
- Weekly corporate account
- Executive booking
- Regular family customer
Every booking matters.
Commission Structure
From Monday, driver commission will be charged at a simple:
10% Flat Rate
The balance shown on the Cordic Driver App is the full customer fare.
Drivers will need to deduct 10% commission from the fare shown.
Example
Customer Fare: £40.00
10% Commission: £4.00
Driver Receives: £36.00
No Commission on Extra Charges
We do not charge commission on:
- Airport parking
- Airport drop-off fees
- Airport pickup fees
- Congestion Charge
- Dart Charge
- Other pass-through customer fees
Commission is only charged on the actual journey fare.
Customer Booking Fees
To help cover the cost of booking systems, technology and call handling:
Customers will pay:
- £1 booking fee when booking online or via the app
- 5% booking fee when booking by telephone
Customers choosing to book digitally will always receive the best value.
What's Coming Next?
Our move to Cordic is only the beginning.
Over the coming weeks and months, we will continue investing in technology, partnerships and new revenue streams designed to create more work and better earning opportunities for drivers.
Realistic Fare Increases
Our fares will be increasing to better reflect the local market and align with our competitors.
For many years we've been priced below market rates in some areas.
The new pricing structure will help provide:
- Better earnings for drivers
- Fair and sustainable pricing
- Greater investment into technology and marketing
- Improved service levels for customers
Dead Mileage
For longer-distance pickups, dead mileage charges may apply.
This means journeys may include a charge from the centre of our operational area to the pickup point where appropriate.
The aim is simple:
- To make longer collections worthwhile for drivers
- To improve job acceptance
- To ensure customers receive a reliable service wherever they are
Taxi Butler
We will soon be introducing Taxi Butler.
Taxi Butler devices are installed in locations such as:
- Hotels
- Restaurants
- Pubs
- Offices
- Businesses
- Retirement villages
Customers simply press a button and are automatically connected to the nearest available vehicle.
For drivers, this means:
- More local bookings
- More account work
- Increased visibility in key locations
- Additional work without relying solely on phone or app bookings
New Job Providers
Our move to Cordic isn't just about a new app.
It's about bringing more jobs from more sources into the network.
We are actively expanding and developing relationships with:
- CMAC
- Minicabit
- Airport crew accounts
- Corporate accounts
- Executive travel customers
- Taxi Butler locations
- Partner operators across the Cordic network
More booking channels means:
- More jobs throughout the day
- Better coverage during quieter periods
- More airport and long-distance work
- Increased opportunities for drivers who are online regularly
- Less reliance on a single source of bookings
Night Rate: +50% After 11pm
To better reflect operating costs and market conditions, we will be introducing a:
50% Night Rate Increase
This will apply to journeys after 11:00pm.
The night rate helps compensate drivers for:
- Unsociable hours
- Reduced driver availability
- Increased operating costs
- Late-night demand
Fixed Airport Fares Remain Fixed
Pre-agreed airport fares will remain fixed and will not be subject to the night rate surcharge unless specifically stated at the time of booking.
Growing Through Partnerships
You may notice references to Hart Taxis within the Cordic system.
We are partnering with Hart Taxis and other operators to help grow the business, increase booking volumes and create more opportunities for drivers.
This isn't a takeover or merger.
It's about working together through modern technology to make everyone stronger.
Work With Other Taxi Firms
One of the biggest advantages of Cordic is that operators can work together.
By partnering with other taxi firms on the platform:
- Other operators can see where our available vehicles are located.
- Jobs can be offered directly between operators through the network.
- We can accept work from other companies when demand is high.
- We can offer our own jobs to trusted partners when required.
- Customers benefit from improved availability and quicker response times.
The result is:
- More work opportunities for drivers
- Better coverage for customers
- A stronger local network
Work Anywhere In The UK
Another major advantage of the Cordic network is flexibility.
Imagine dropping a customer in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol or Norwich.
Instead of driving back empty, the system may allow you to receive work locally from partner operators in that area.
This means:

- More earning opportunities

Introducing Executive Services
We are expanding our fleet offering to include Executive vehicles and premium travel services.
This will allow us to target:

Executive bookings provide an opportunity for higher-value work and help us compete in a wider market.
Pre-Bookings & Driver Performance
Drivers who demonstrate reliability, maintain good availability and regularly support the business may see pre-bookings up to 7 days in advance.
Standard Drivers
Most drivers will be able to see pre-booked work up to 3 days in advance.
Pre-Bookings Are a Privilege
Access to pre-booked work is intended to reward drivers who help us provide an excellent service to customers.
Pre-booking access is a privilege, not a guarantee.
Access levels may change over time based on:
- Driver activity
- Acceptance rates
- Reliability
- Customer feedback
- Business requirements
- Overall performance
Drivers who are online regularly, support local work and maintain high standards are likely to benefit the most from the system.
Go Live Date
Our move to Cordic will officially begin at:
00:01 on Monday 29th June
From this point onwards, bookings and dispatch will transition to the new system.
We appreciate that any change in technology takes time to get used to, and we'd like to thank all drivers for their patience and support as we make this transition together.
There may be a few teething problems along the way, but we are committed to making the move as smooth as possible and will continue to improve the system as we go.
